  • About the artist

    Henry Lark Pratt was born in Derby in 1805 and was, for a short while, a landscape painter at the Old Derby China Works. Leaving in 1830 he went on to work at the Minton China Works in the Potteries and London publishers Chapman & Hall. In later life he enjoyed the patronage of Queen Victoria and painted views of various Royal Estates. Henry died in 1875.
